Electronic Signs For New Zealand Motorways
New Zealand is about to get electronic motorway signs. The New Zealand Transport office has started rolling out the new signs in Auckland. Six full-colour, high-pixel signs have been installed on the Northern, Southern, Northwestern and Southwestern motorways and seven more are planned. Other areas of New Zealand will get the signs in the future, although a timeline is not yet known. Each new sign costs $80,000 and are paid for from the latest budget. The new signs will enable more detailed information to be included such as information on highway conditions and travel information.

Huge Slip At Waihi Gold Mine
Around two million tonnes of rock has slipped at a gold mine in Waihi. No one was working in the martha open pit gold mine at the time and there were no injuries. The slide was not a surprise as officials have been scanning the wall since one year ago. There is still movement being to discover at the mine and further rock fall is expected, however on a much smaller scale.
