Colour Change

This week our class did an experiment on changing colours. All of us started of with drawing three circle, then cut them out. After that you have to color the circle the first one is blue and red, the second one is green and blue lastly red and green. We use a nail to poke a hole in the circle and then put the string through the hole. Now you can spin the disc/circle in the same direction. Our class had fun with the disc.

On Tuesday we had a duffy show and the role model was Michel Mulipola. He was an artist and pro wrestler. He illustrated many books for children like comics and school journal, he told us that his favorite superhero was green lantern. He talked about how he became an artist. He showed us some of the drawing. I kind of like him because he is a funny man.

Cross-Country

Everyone was excited to come back from the weekend and do some running on the street. It was amazing to see the year 4s doing running with us. I was so pumped at first then after doing 1 and a half lap I was exhausted, so I walk for a little. When I went around I saw some amazing runners from year 4 right up to year 8. At the end some people went for a drink and some were just relaxing on the ground.

Tech Switch Over

Today was the day that the year 7's and 8's switched over to a different activity at Tamaki College. The year 7 students had Mr Pineda's class 'Graphics' which was our previous class. The year 8's including myself, went with Mr Grundy's 'Workshop' and our topic is currently glass. Before we get started Mr Grundy WARNED us about what would happen if we didn't follow the rules with respect. Mr Grundy has strict rules but are very safe. The first thing was drawing our designs. My favourite sketch was a castle.

Orienteering

We have orienteering every Tuesday, our guider or teacher, was Mr Leon and he showed us a few symbols on the map of our school. On the first day, Mr Leon gave us all a clip card. All clip cards were unique because they each had different numbers. It was a bit tricky at first because the clippers were not alphabetical order. The same day, we all walked around the school with maps. Sadly people had their maps taken off of them because it was not facing North. The next week, Mr Leon came back and handed us all a clip card and a map. We had to clip the card by using the map to find our destination.

St Kents

Last week some people were chosen to go to St Kents and I was one of them. When we got to St Kents there were three boys waiting for us. We  followed them to the court.  When we got to the court we were put into 5 groups. Each group, played an activity. At the end of the activity they ask us what do we like the most and why is it fun. When that was finish we all came together. Some boys then thanked us and we thank them back them by singing a Maori song and happy birthday song to Musica. Then it was time for us to go back to school.

A few weeks ago Room 12 group 1 and group 2 have been doing skipping. We do skipping for at least 15 minutes or 20 minutes. We do skipping 25 minutes before we go home.
