Labour Weekend Road Toll Ends At Three
New Zealand's Labour Weekend holiday road toll has finished at three, two less than the same period in 2015. The deaths included the country's first female Maori police detective. Seventy-nine-year-old Te Rauoriwa Daphne Pomare died after a head-on collision in Paekakariki on Sunday morning. She was taken to hospital with critical injuries, but died overnight. On Monday a 56-year-old man died when a motorcycle and car collided at Wallacetown, west of Invercargill. The accident happen at about 3pm on State Highway 99, police say. The man died at the scene and no one else was injured.

Killer Clowns
Some clowns are terrified of going out in their white greasepaint and makeup as they say they risk being arrested by police or attacked by mobs who take to the street in so-called "clown hunt." The sinister trend, which began in America and quickly spread to Europe, sees internet pranksters wearing grotesque clown outfits terrorise passerby before posting the video on social media.

Native Forest
Native Forest
Tomorrow our whole school is going to the Botanic Gardens. When we get there I like to go and visit the Native Forest because I want to see New Zealand Native plant. I think it is a calm place, because you can hear birds singing and also get to see rare plants and trees.
