Killer Clowns

Some clowns are terrified of going out in their white greasepaint and makeup as they say they risk being arrested by police or attacked by mobs who take to the street in so-called "clown hunt." The sinister trend, which began in America and quickly spread to Europe, sees internet pranksters wearing grotesque clown outfits terrorise passerby before posting the video on social media.

Native Forest

Tomorrow our whole school is going to the Botanic Gardens. When we get there I like to go and visit the Native Forest because I want to see New Zealand Native plant. I think it is a calm place, because you can hear birds singing and also get to see rare plants and trees.

Pedal Power In Schools

pedal-powerMartin Middle School in North Carolina, USA has introduced pedal power into their classrooms  to get pupils focus more. Bike pedals have been put under the desk as a way to divert students energy. Bethany Lambeth who teaches maths at the school said it has led to a outstanding increase in their grades. "Because students are sitting still all day long they start to get restless and start tapping their desk and their feet are moving about," she said. Having the quiet bike pedals under the desks allow students to use up that energy, and at the same time focus on class. What do you think? Should we bring this to New Zealand?
